Well I guess it's true, time stands still for no one.  Another year as come and gone.  I thank the Father for the times past and look  forward to the year to come.

I was brought a might long way from three years ago and thank God for every step of this new journey in my life.  It would be however, nice to have some one to share it with, but what will be, will be.

I am grateful for the time past, one thing because I lost no one last year and didn't at the same time didn't lose my mind either. LOL.  My Grandmother, God bless her soul and old bones, celebrated her 99th birthday this past December.  I invited a television station to attend her birthday party.  Guess what!  They accepted.  Fox 45 did a little piece on her; that was my birthday present to her.

I got to see my grands before the year was out and that made me jump with glee.

I know what ever God has in store for me, that with him beside me I can't go wrong.

May the Lord continue to bless us all and may you have a prosperous New Year!

I really have enjoyed this holiday season.  Beside my being with my grands, I really enjoyed spending time with my nieces and nephews.

Each year I set them down and tell them the true meaning of Christmas.  This year they really had a lot of questions and a few answers to my question about what they learnt.

I was amazed.  They were listening and truly interested.  It made me feel even better.

You see, to me that is the real meaning of the holiday.  Sharing the holiday with family.  I pray yours was just has good.

Be blessed!

Greeting and Happy Holidays.  Now they say that, but I shall say, Merry Chrisitmas.  After all, Christ is the reason for this season.

My Christmas came two days early today.  I received a visit from the son, his children and his friend.  Their presence alone was a gift for me.  But seeing the joy in their faces made it even better.  Thank you Lord!

It's the little things that I am grateful for.  It's like the old adage, "Be careful what you pray for, you just might get it".  Well thanks to common sense, I pray for positive things.

During this time of year we find ourselves stressed out over the little things.  For example, I was stressed that I would not be able to complete my shopping list.  I only had $20.00 left in my budget and still had a few small things to take care of.  So what did I do?  I prayed.  I had God working overtime with the constant prayers I've been sending up.  But he hears all prayers.

The final outcome is, God is an awesome God.  I needed gift wrapping paper and someone donated not only wrapping paper, but bows too and left it available to anyone who needed it; I needed to get one more gift and there was someone where I live, selling wallets for, well lets just say at minimal cost.  I needed tissue paper and found some in a gift bag I had from a previous gift.  Tell me God doesn't answer prays and I tell my testimony.

Well, my house is clean from top to bottom, all the presents are wrapped and I'm done for the holiday.

Xmas comes early for me this year.  My son, his friend and my grandchildren will be here in the morning and that's my Christmas day.  Christmas is about the celebration of the birth of Christ, our Lord and Savior, but it's also about giving and spending that precious time with the ones you love.

Thank you Father for once again allowing me to see another year celebrating the birth of your precious Son and the opportunity to spend time with the ones I love.

Now another prayer I know God will hear.  "Lord may everyone have a safe, blessed and joyous holiday.  May we not forget the reason for the season"

Be blessed!

When you think you have your day all planned, don't.  My mother used to say "You can make plans, but did you run it past God first?"

I cancelled my transportation for this evening last night. That caused me to catch public transportation. In doing that I took a new route to my destination.

My day was all mapped out.  Visit a friend in the morning, go to the clinic in the evening and finish some last minute shopping.  Well all that happened.  But God had other plans for me.  During my running around I ran out of oxygen, the chair powered down, again, and I had to adapt.
That in turn lead me to the place I needed to be, for someone.

You know how you have the feeling you want to go one way but something is gnawing at you to go the other way.  That's God speaking to you.  Follow your instincts.  I'm glad I listened.

Listening to the call was a blessing, because it allowed me to help someone who really needed it.  I was in the right place at the right time.

Coincidence, I don't think so.  God's plan, definitely.  Be blessed!
Yesterday was a very adventurous and learning day.  The adventure came to play when I, for the first time in a long time, took to walking.  You see normally I use a power chair to get around.  Rather it be at home or out of the home.  No I'm not stuck in it.  I just got lazy and used it constantly.  It, at the times, was more convenient to use it.  I started out saying I would use it only for school and making market, you know things that took a lot (for me anyway) of heavy lifting and carrying.

Well, I walked and I walked all day and all night long.  You have to understand that though, I'm not in it permanently but after yesterday, I cried for my chair.  Walking down the halls of where I lived felt like walking the green mile.  Walking around shopping at stores as large as Walmart (it wasn't Walmart though) really took a lot out of my body; notice I didn't say my feet, although they were killing me.

Now for the learning experience.  My sister, God bless her, gently told me a few things about myself that brought me to the reality of accepting them to be true.  As a child, I was always to one she would turn to for advise and humor (she still does, LOL), but now as adults, I turn to her for advise and wisdom (get that) and sometimes I become the humor.  She gently explain that I (ME!) take things that are meant to be loving the wrong way.  All I can say to that, after a few examples, is that she is right.  I felt as though I was being picked on and that wasn't the case at all.  Sometimes people show you they love you in ways they hope won't offend you, and that's with humor.

It's okay now.  Some I take with a grain of salt, but now I take it with a lot of sugar.  Thanks Sis!  The advise and lesson took a lot of drama out of my life that I was creating myself.

Today I shall relax and look forward to some eye opening events and adventures coming my way.

If God has a great sense of humor, then why shouldn't I?
Be blessed!

Today was my last day at school until next year.  I've been going for so long now that I felt a little something leaving the building for the last time, for awhile.  Well you can tell I don't have a life. LOL.  But what's at home to rush to, expect the comfort my bed?  Thank God for my own bed.

There are so many out there who no longer have a home to go to.  So I wipe my eyes and look gleefully look towards home.  I say so longer, for now to my favorite Professor, wish everyone well who helped me through the semester and also those who didn't.  The only reason I was there was for a meeting of the Computer Technology Club that I secretary.  I was glad to be in the building even just for that.

Oh, I haven't lost it.  Believe me I look forward to a long vacation from it but I also look forward to returning.  There truly is nothing like expanding your mind.  I surprised myself.  Don't get twisted, but I just never thought that I would still be at it.  I am determined to move forward and reach my goal.

Thanks to all my supporters and all those who have helped me through.  Ain't no stopping me now, cause it ain't over!

Be blessed!

It has truly been awhile since my last post.  a lot has happened.  I've completed my first year in college and passed with "A"s.  WOW!  Doing the running man (woman) on oxygen!  LOL.  I've moved to a much better place.  It's a little out of the way place where deers roam freely.  WOW, yet still in the city.  I love it.  God continues to bless me and mines and for that I am truly grateful!  If He doesn't do anything else for me He has truly done enough.
I've welcome three more relatives in my family.  My grandchildren are getting bigger by the minute.  I haven't lost anyone or thing (including my mind) this year, thus far.  One of my seconds cousins is getting married this month.  One of my fourth cousins got married this month and my Grandmother turns 99 year young this month and I have gained a few new friends.  Tell me I'm not blessed.

I'm no longer waiting for the other shoe to drop.  Life is too short to wait on that other shoe! So in the meantime I will continue to send up praises and not block my blessing in the meantime.

I'm a litter closer still to seeing my maker, which I found complete joy in, but I am going to on day by day with anticipation for what He has in store for me each new day.

No New Years resolution this year, but I do wish that you all will be  safe and blessed throughout the holidays.

      See you next year!

A bad tree ccannot bare good fruit, and a good tree cannot bare bad fruit for a tree is known by its fruit.  Likewise a good man brings forth good things, and an evil man brings forth evil.

Stone Soul Gathering
Posted by Picasa
Today is the day the Lord blessed the world with my presence and oh so many others. I thank Him for that. I thank Him for another opportunity to get it right this year and for my mistakes and my difficulties of last year. Now another year as gone by which mean I am a little closer to the end date. My mother always told me I was morbid LOL. However, that is okay. God is good all the time and will see me when He is ready. In the mean time, I will do my best to live according to His law and become a little wiser and more beautiful. (LOL). By the way, I am having a party on August 28 to celebrate my life and two others (my cousins Sean and Claudia). Join us in the fun. Have a blessed day and be good to yourself and  each others.

"All the days ordained for me were written in Your book
before one of them came to be."

I know I do not want to go to Hell. However, right now at this particular time, this moment, am I ready for heaven? Am I prepared to stand before God with all my sins and sinning ways? Is anyone really? I do know that he is preparing me for something right now in my life for that particular moment, something I cannot handle right now. He is making me ready. Thank you Lord for keeping me on your potter’ wheel of life. May I be worthy when the time does come, I pray. Amen.

While enjoying carefree days, we must not become careless about making ourselves ready for the kingdom of God, for no man know the hour or day of his or her time to be called home.

You’ll go forth a little stronger, With a fresh supply of grace,  If each day you meet the Savior
In a secret, quiet place. —Adams

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
Proverbs 3:5

Many times, we try to understand or explain why God allow certain things to happen to us in our lives. Then I have to bring myself back to that Proverb. There is no way I am going to make it without his help. I do not have to understand because regardless of the question he always has the answer.  I know that there is God and that He is in total control but my human nature still asks why. No matter what, I am going to love God and I am going to need him. Therefore, I lean on him, his understanding of me, and what I need in my.

Mines are not to question why, but to obey and live.

You know hate is a very strong word. Many people have died for or using the words, “I hate”. People have been hated for many things such as, the color of their skin, their religion, and worst of all out of fear. Do not fear what we know nothing about. When the Lord walked the earth, he walked in love and understanding. He wants us to love one another regardless period; even our enemies. To be closer to and to try to walk our lives as God intends for us to, we must love one another as we love ourselves. If you do not love yourself, allow someone else to show you how and in that act alone, he or she will be following Gods law.

Lord, let me be a shining light In all I say and do, That Your great love displayed in me May lead someone to You. —Sper

Sometimes the best witness is love.

The "Stone Soul Panic" is today at Druid Hill Park . Remember there will be a lot of friends and  love ones out today. Treat each other the way you want to be treated. Respect each other (no matter what the situation and/or topic). Be mindful of the children. Show a prime example of what a family panic was as if it was back in the day. Great music, friends, and family. What more could you ask for. Be good to yourself and each other

Sometimes we just need to say "Thank you Lord" for your sacrifice and for loving me so much. "Thank you God" for sending me a brother, a teacher, an everlasting companion, and a friend who also loves me unconditionally. Thank you Father for allowing me to be on your potter's wheel for I know you are still not finished with me. There is still something inside of me that you see worth redeeming.
